Mabeve Babone Basic Computer Skills Training has a bursary scheme that aims to attract ten (male and female) exceptional young people in the Townships, specifically from Khayelitsha and Strand who are unemployed and not registered to any institution of learning. Between the ages 18-30. Diasbled people are encouraged to apply.
The bursary is financial assistance given to learners to gain basic computer skills – an accredited certificate will be awarded at the completion of the course.
Bursaries will be awarded to learners who have passed Grade 9, English literate (as the training is offered only in English) and cannot afford to pay the total tuition for the Training.
As part of the selection process, all applicants who meet the minimum requirement will further be subjected to an Interview.

Please note that this bursary does not cover the full costs of the tuition. The total cost of the Training is R3 500 and the bursary will only cover R2500. The successful applicant must be prepared to pay a portion of their tuition costs (R1000) themselves prior starting with the Training in April 2021.
NB: Costs for travelling to the training centre (Mandela park, Khayelitsha/ Asanda Village, Strand) are also not covered by the Bursary.
